These 2 paintings are by my dear friend Reem.  She is so talented.  I am always anticipating what she will paint next.  

She has no idea that I took this picture, but, I just couldn't resist ;) she won't have a say.

So, my dear friend Nofy just got back from Cairo. 

 I am looking forward to seeing her. 

She passes by my place and tells me all about her time in 'Um Eldunya'.

 and I'm excited to hear all about it

As she talks, she keeps chewing away on some small chicklet gum.

Every few minutes she gets rid of the gum in her mouth and chews on a new one.

 Then I think " Must be some EGYPSHAAIN GUM!"... "oh Yum"

 "I  really want SOME"

Such a sweety, she gives me the whole box... ( it turns out she has a couple more in her car).. heheh

It is available in local supermarkets ( ie. Roudha)!

And I must say it's addictive.  It should come with a warning!

Back to the Past

 Aren't these old pieces of furniture just right for today?

The table is simple and  it works in any kind of space.

The day bed is charming. I love its chrome base .

Aaaand....

The rest of the room can stay in the past.

I am really liking Australian newcomer Toni Maticevski.

These are the pieces i loved from his A/W 2010  collection.

His work is delicate, feminine, and yet edgy.
