What a Holiday Home
I've posted other projects by A-Cero Architects, but this holiday home in the Dominican Republic has to get its fair share on my blog. I am loving every aspect of it. Those creamy white slab curves which resemble sand dunes or maybe the tips of waves in the ocean are so Le Corbusier (but dare I say more genteel). The interior is elegant in its simplicity. The Entrance makes me speechless. So many of A-Cero projects are breathtaking.
They are officially my favorite architectural firm.

Carluccio's is Officially Open in Kuwait
Have you been looking for great Italian food in Kuwait?
Here it is,
Carluccio's is OPEN in Avenues phase 1.
It's the UK's favorite Italian Caffe, restaurant and foodshop.
I took other photos but uploading them is taking ages, so this is all I can share at the moment.
Anyway, it's the perfect place to take your kids, since its casual dining.
Simple, basic, yet tasty italian.
Ok, don't take kids, just go and have some good coffee and enjoy a new restaurant.
My opinion on some things I tried
Carpaccio- excellent
Pastas- excellent
Vanilla Icecream- very Vanillaesh is yummy
squid- Go0od
escalope- Ok
Fish- perfect for my daughter
Go there for lunch and enjoying the rest of the day shopping at the avenues.
So much sale going on Ay!

I want an edible cup
"Jelloware are biodegradable, edible (and vegan!) cups that are flavored to compliment the drink inside. You can eat your cup as you sip your drink, and any leftover remnants can be composted."
such a fun concept. This creative project is funded by Kickstarter

A Phonkerchief always comes in Handy,
For some of us, a phonkerchief might come in handy.
So many times you might get a rolling eye or an 'ohh' sound for browsing through your mobile.
But you can do something about it.
Get your phonekerchief out and get that point across, that the phone is OFF for You.
You can find more of these polite materials in UNCOMMON GOODS

What will You wear to Celebrate Kuwait's Independence Day?
Elektra Bakery
Bonjour to the smell of imaginary bread!
I wish we had a bakery like this in Kuwait.
Anyway, this is "part of a chain of family-run bakeries called 'Elektra' located in Edessa, Greece. Studioprototype had the opportunity to redefine the look of its shops with this pilot project. The shop is small covering only thirty-five square metres."
A simple concept, yet a marvelous outcome.

Le BARON du Design
Sam Baron, the designer behind a wonder of things, has an amazing resume, and he is still so young. (to me at least, he's born in 1976) . This french creature graduated from Ecole des Beaux Arts de Saint Etienne with a degree in Design, in 1999 following that he received a post-graduate degree in Design from Ecole Nationale Superieure des Arts Decoratifs de Paris and at the Ecole des Beaux Arts de Saint Etienne in 2001.
He won the Prize for Best Installation in Tokyo with an exhibition entitled Rendez-Vous. He then spent a year part of the design department of Fabrica. He has a collection of ceramic plates exhibited at the Cooper Hewitt Museum of New York and is sold worldwide by Bosa called “slices of Design” .
Sam Baron's list of clients include Louis Vuitton, L’Oreal Group, Sephora, Musee des Arts Decoratifs de Paris, Renault, De Beers London, Vista Alegre/Atlantis Portugal, Baccarat, Vitra, Maxalto and Christofle.
(A ya yaay! what a lovely list!)
In 2007 he won Grand Prix de la Creation de La Ville de Paris, and the Createur de l’Annee in 2010 promoted by Maison et Objets.
The first two images are a collection of his latest work for Bosa.
I truely admire such talent.
Sooo much more to see on his site

A night at Mubarakiya
What are you doing these days?
Are you home cause the weather is really cold?
Well, I must recommend that you go out and go to Al Mubarakiya.
Have some fun knowing that everything around you is laid back and the place is packed with people simply enjoying this winter weather.
Plus,
They serve excellent tea, yummy kebabs, and really good Koshary and Mishaltit
(( in case of any food poisoning, don't come blaming me!))
Couture Week 2011 has just started,,
So Spring Couture Week in Paris has Just started.
I'll be posting more of my favorite pics from the couture shows as the week goes on.
First image is from Armani Prive's collection.
You can tell, my eyes started to see doubles, that's just because I'm loving the jackets, and forget the pants please, thats a big NO No.
Just the jackets.
soo Chic..Mm.
As for John Galliano for Dior, I think his Collection is beautiful and wearable.
I adore the colors and the silhouette.
That's Couture.
